Before your visit
You’ll receive a reminder the day before. Please keep the route to your gutters clear. We normally need access to a wall socket for the vacuum. If access is awkward, send us a few photographs beforehand so we can check what is reachable.

Do I need to be home?
Usually, yes, to provide access to the power socket. If you won’t be home, please contact us beforehand to discuss access.
Can you reach gutters above a conservatory or extension?
Often, yes, but it depends on the layout and safe access. If gutters sit above a conservatory, extension or other obstruction, please send a few photographs before booking.
Do you clear blocked downpipes?
We clear debris around accessible downpipe openings. A blockage further down an enclosed pipe may need separate investigation; we’ll let you know if we suspect one.
Will clearing my gutters stop leaks or overflowing?
Clearing a blockage can resolve overflowing caused by debris. It won’t repair damaged joints, cracks or incorrectly fitted gutters. If we notice an obvious defect, we’ll point it out.
How often should my gutters be cleared?
For many homes, once a year is a useful starting point. Nearby trees, roof moss and previous blockages can mean more frequent clearing is needed. We can advise based on what we find.
How can I tell if a downpipe is blocked?
Plants growing out of the top of a downpipe are a sign that debris has built up and may be partially or completely blocking the opening.
How do you check that the top of the downpipe is clear?
We use a curved gooseneck attachment to vacuum the downpipe from above, listening for changes in suction. A restricted sound indicates an obstruction, so we continue clearing. When the vacuum returns to its normal sound, this indicates that air is flowing freely through the opening.
